The biggest mistake countries can make is to see ageing as a problem, Mr Martin Seychell, Deputy Director-General for Health in the European Union (EU), has said.

Finnish Prime Minister Antti Rinne on Tuesday called "healthy aging" to be put at the center of social policies world wide.

The international organization Global Coalition on Aging that tackles the issue of aging has announced that the purchasing power of the world over 60 years old will total 15 trillion dollars (about 1600 trillion yen) by the 9th. 

Increasing digital literacy in the European healthcare sector has been requested by Martin Seychell, Deputy Director General Health of the European Commission, at the first high-level EU forum on the Silver Economy, which has been meeting in Helsinki for two days since Tuesday.

“Some people call them silver, but I call them white. And they are beautiful,” said Christine Lagarde, 63, CEO of the International Monetary Fund. She referred to her hair and the name of the conference this week in Helsinki, the Silver Economy Forum.
